We stock of over 300 different herb species from around the world, nearly half of which are available as Soil Association organically certified.

Our search for the best quality herbs takes us to many wonderful locations including Italy and Croatia.
Our Italian growers are working together, as a farming co-operative to produce many organic herbs for us. Herbs we source from Italy include -
Chamomile (Matricaria recutita)
this lovely herb has many benefits including
anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antispasmodic and nerve sedating properties.
Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata)
Passionflower is a popular herb for aiding sleep and generally calming overactive brains.
Lemon Balm (Melissa offcinalis)
Lemon Balm is another herb used to elevate mood and relax. Other properties associated with this herb include antispasmodic and antiviral action.

Echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia, Echinacea purpurea)
This ever popular herb is stimulating to the immune system as a anti microbial and lymphatic agent. A powerful but non-toxic herb useful for many infective conditions and as a general blood cleanser or 'alterative' used for skin conditions such as acne and eczema.
Elderberry (Sambucus nigra)
A familiar autumn sight, elderberries glistening on misty mornings, these are packed with antioxidants and are a key immunostimulant to take to help prevent and treat viral infections. Elderberries are also an excellent prebiotic herb providing fuel for the microbiota and benefitting gut health.
St John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum)
St John's Wort is one of the most widely studied herbs, primarily for its antidepressant action. Studies have demonstrated a efficacy in the treatment of mild depression comparable with standard antidepressants. This herb has many other uses too as a topical analgesic, wound healer or 'vulnerary' and anti viral agent.
Milk Thistle (Silybum marianus)
This member of the thistle family is another well known herb due to it's action on the liver. This herb has a protective action on the liver, promotes the flow of bile and aids digestion. As a powerful liver herb it is indicated for when the liver has sustained damage through alcohol abuse or viral infection.
Chasteberry (Vitex agnus castus)
This herb is most often associated with benefits to gynaecological health due to it's action on the pituitary gland to regulate hormones. It is used for the management of premenstrual and menopausal symptoms. It's action on hormonal regulation may be useful in conditions such as acne vulgaris.
Rose (Rosa damascena)
A most beautiful and fragrant flower with so much value to health and wellness as a internal product and in many skin products and perfume.
The essential oil and aromatic water is used in skincare and perfumery. The petals have great medicinal benefits including calming and uplifting properties, cardio and liver protective and cholesterol lowering actions.
Rosehips (Rosa canina)
The seed heads of the wild Dog Rose are one of the highest sources of vitamin C and are often drunk as a tea. They have incredible skin rejuvenating qualities and are used in the treatment of scars.
Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna)
Many parts of this common hedgerow tree are used in herbal medicine and it is a long established and important medicinal plant. Used primarily as a heart tonic which helps to lower blood pressure due to an antispasmodic action improving capillary function. Hawthorn is also considered a sedating herb to the nervous system.
Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
The root of this beautiful plant provides us with a demulcent action which is soothing and moistening to many body tissues. It is an excellent herb for the treatment of coughs, a digestive and liver tonic, adrenal tonic and valuable skin herb. Liquorice is an excellent herb for gut health as a prebiotic.
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
The humble dandelion provides us with medicine from its leaves and roots. The leaves are of great benefit to the urinary system and the roots are used as a bitter tonic, for liver complaints and improved bowel function.
Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
The flowers and leaves of this herb are used in herbal medicine for their anti inflammatory, antispasmodic and haemostatic properties. A useful herb for fevers, wounds and excess blood loss. Used both internally and externally.

Ashwaganda (Withania
somnifera)
this is an adaptogenic herb which is considered more calming than stimulating.
